The present batch
of English Optional trainees (2014-15)
of Govt. Brennen College of Teacher Education (GBCTE) , Thalassery, Kerala
State like their senior batch (2013-14)
is quite active on Whatsapp. Though the previous batch used to regularly email
me (their teacher educator) and even send sms
I did not venture to join their Whatsapp group. This was because I
was transferred GBCTE to teach in the
Post Graduate Department in December 2013 and until June 2014 I did not receive any notice from the
authorities to teach the Under Graduate students. So by the time I got to teach
the trainees and know them too, they had completed the Course and left the
college!
Back in Govt. College
of Teacher Education, Trivandrum, I used to post details of activities of the trainees whom I
taught in ‘PHOENIX’- the Blog of the Department of English. It served as a kind of digital document of the activities organized
for the trainees. Now… at the end of the First Semester (2014-15) I have
realized the need to launch a
Blog for documenting the
activities of the English Optional trainees of GBCTE ….hence this Blog: BRENNEN
BREEZE. Its also the name which
the present batch has given to their
WhatsApp group.
