Classes commenced
for the new batch of BEd trainees on 15 December 2014.
As per instructions received from the authorities, this would
perhaps be the last batch of BEd trainees undergoing the one year-BEd programme in Kerala State.
Within in a week of
their joining the college, X’mas vacation commenced. When admissions closed in
January 2015 a total of 15 trainees
had joined for the BEd programme in English. A few of them had been classmates
for their PG course in English Literature.
Unlike the
previous batch (2013-14), I was
directed to teach them right from the
first semester though I am originally posted to work in the PG department of the college.
In the three
months that I had got to know them, I have found them to be studious and quite amiable. They have
an impressive literary talent too…
